Let the bonding begin

Last week this rooster crowed for John McCain with an unobstructed nose:

It is going to be sweet to watch as McCain becomes the vessel for liberal attacks... We will bond to him as he is unjustly attacked... The man we have so often seen as a jerk will now be our jerk...And we will love him for it.

So it is with no small satisfaction that Gamecock reads that the:

Right rallies to McCain's side

Conservative media outlets rushed with surprising vehemence to defend Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Thursday against a critical article in The New York Times, embracing a maverick they have often attacked.

Rush Limbaugh calls it "the drive-by media ... trying to take him out."

Laura Ingraham, another influential conservative radio host, said the Times waited until McCain was on the brink of the Republican presidential nomination and now is seeking to "contaminate" him with an article that she calls "absurd" and "ridiculous."

CBN.org, the website of the Christian Broadcasting Network, says an attack by the Times is "a conservative badge of honor."

Ironically, one of the worst articles ever written about McCain may help bond him to conservatives because they now have a common enemy: The New York Times.

Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail to Politico: “The story is not the story. The story is the Drive By media turning on its favorite maverick and trying to take him out. The media picked the GOP's candidate, the NYT endorsed him while they sat on this story, and is now, with utter predictability, trying to destroy him.”

Rush is redeemed and the process of the inevitable unification against the Socialist-un-proud-of-the-country-before-the-Obamination-Baptism has begun.

If only more here had the patience of Job or DeVine. But then, when I was an inexperienced child, I reacted as a child, but now...

It's February, and before that, January. The election is in November. Live it.

So now the republican community organizes before our eyes based on principles, policies and a shared grievance against a leftist partisan media.

We don't need Chicago-Obama-like "community organizers" to gin up false grievance among the poor and uneducated that are the prey of the left for dependent victim hood.

More Pearls of Rush Wisdom from The Politico:

Limbaugh added: “This is what you get when you walk across the aisle and try to make these people your friends. I'm not surprised in the least that the NYT would try to take out John McCain. Predicted this, in fact, way back in the early 2000s. Sen. McCain courted the media, cultivated them, even bragged that the media was his ‘base.’ I cringed when I heard it because the media turning on McCain was as predictable as the sun rising in the morning.”

Limbaugh was one of several influential conservatives who, to the delight and relief of the McCain campaign, immediately decided that the behavior of the Times — not the senator — should be the issue.

As I said last week, "There are two kinds of change to choose from. We can become the children of a Europe-like nanny state writ large with no America to protect us from ourselves or we can embrace a change that seeks to reduce government and embrace America exceptional-ism."

Despite all of our problems in the GOP the past seven years, I have always remained confident that the Liberals that own the Democratic Party and that now openly campaign as McGovernite socialists, would simply refuse to let us lose.

The NYT's latest is an example of how they can't help themselves. The utterances of Michelle Obama are even better evidence, and increasingly are those of the vessel of Hope and Change as he bemoans how hard it will be to get Exxon-Mobil's profits and how our brave and successful soldiers are our "kids" as "victims" of President Bush.

I have faith, not mere hope, that truth will carry us to victory in November, so that the leftist change agents will not be allowed to destroy this country.

Long live the Creator ordained rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, i.e. Private Property.

And long live a united against the Left, Grand Ole Party (and conservative Democrats that can't stomach the Obamanation).

[UPDATE]

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot to link to the NYT hit job on McCain, i.e. the Rush declared irrelevant details that the NYT sat on for 10-years they were so "fit to print", or what I call:
